Recovery
Some years ago I planted two different Pineapple Lilies in the garden. You've already seen Eucomis bicolor in a recent Blip, it's flowered every year. Today's subject is the other species, planted as Eucomis autumnalis but I've recently read that it's correct name is Eucomis zambeziaca. Whatever the name, it's made an amazing recovery after the bulb was damaged in an attempt at lifting it three or four years ago. I thought I'd killed it but a small piece or a bulblet must have remained underground as this year it has reappeared in flower. As yet, just a small specimen but I'm hoping for a more dramatic display in future years :-)
Another day of sorting spring crocuses before re-planting them. Hoping the job will be done by the end of the week.
