Harvest safely gathered in.

Walking today in the fields of stubble. This is a truly autumnal scene in magnification, and it looks much more attractive in close up too, doesn't it? Weather is still mild, though we are getting frosts over night. Other autumn things are, russet coloured leaves on the ground, the atmospheric curl of smoke from a bonfire, dark settling over the sky earlier and earlier, warm clothing to wrap up in, and anticipation of winter.....I love this time of year.
