Lunch .......

..... and it was delicious ..... warm apple fritters with cinnamon ice cream ..... only about 1000 + calories! ..... we couldn't resist sitting under the bright green umbrella by the river.

The weather forecast wasn't too good so we headed to Lucerne. The promised rain didn't arrive until we were on our way home. We boarded the ferry .... found a couple of seats in the sun and settled back to enjoy the sail. As we left Lucerne the black clouds rolled in and very quickly the town was shrouded in mist ..... the torrential rain caught up with us and soon everyone was scurrying for cover.
