Embroidery No.1

Well, I've finished the first embroidery.  It actually fits into a card, so I've got two different ones for the girls.

I was a bit disappointed with this.  It was a lot more difficult than I thought it would be.

And not helped by the fact I ran out of embroidery thread for some of the colours.  Luckily, I have quite a stash of thread, so I was able to match it up as best as possible.

With the 2nd one, I've already made sure I wont run out of thread, by replacing the original thread with some of my own.

A day at home today.  I didn't even go for a walk.  The temperature dropped down to 4c, overnight.  And a cat was keeping me warm so I didn't wake up until 7.15 a.m. 

So, I got up and decided to make a fruit cake after breakfast.  And then I cleaned the whole house.

The weather outside was lovely though, bright sunshine all day.
