MONO MONDAY - JOINT

The alarm on my FitBit reminded me at 6.30, 7 am and 7.30 that it was time to get up but the great thing about being retired is that an alarm can be totally ignored!

I eventually got up at 9.05 and after I had had my shower went downstairs - in my pink robe, of course - to find Mr. HCB trying to put the garden table together.  He did say he had hoped to finish it before I came down and had managed to get three of the legs in position but was having problems with the last one.

He said the holes and the screws weren’t lining up properly and had to get up several times because his knees were aching. When I asked him to look at me so that I could take a photograph, I could tell he wasn’t a “happy bunny” because his comment was “I wish you wouldn’t take one today!”

However, I needed a Blip and said it was a perfect one for Mono Monday as the theme was “joint” - I knew his sense of humour had returned when he said “Well I’ve got creaking joints!”  Bless him.

So here is my lovely model, Mr. HCB, in Mono, and I know now that the table and the parasol are sorted, we will spend many happy hours sitting in the garden in the comfortable chairs - so I made a cup of coffee for us both - see extra. The sun may not be shining yet and it’s a bit cooler than of late but that’s another job to be crossed off the list.

     and you’re

PS. Martyn, our son, and Mr. HCB enjoyed the cricket match.  His team won in the last over by 2 runs - so a good day - which is more than can be said for our son’s football team West Ham, who lost 4-0 to our other son, Jules’ team, Liverpool. I understand from Mr. HCB that Jules was in touch with Martyn - no doubt to gloat!
