My Mountain
From the very first time I laid my eyes upon this white mountain tucked away in the Santa Ritas, I adopted it in my name...it will be always be "Laurie's Mountain"...at least to me and my mom.
That first sighting was in April of 2005.
I had no idea what I was looking at, of course, but I soon learned that it was a humungous pile of limestone (calcium carbonate) that is actively mined.
So when you see the white stuff in your drywall or the white lines on your favorite team's field of play (or even in your toothepaste), think of "Laurie's Mountain" in southern Arizona.
