Green Sandpiper

Poor weather led us to cancel a field trip to see Scotch Argus butterflies.

When the drizzle eased off we went to Leighton Moss and spent an hour in the Grizedale hide.

This handsome Green Sandpiper was one of the rewards. But we also saw Black Tailed Godwits in their handsome summer plumage, a Snipe and a Hobby.

The coffee and cake were good too.
