Rabbit Habit

This is the corner of our yard where the rabbits slip in between the fence and the wall.  Scout and Angus run to it 25-times a day, trying to catch the pepper stealers.

Scout knows the rabbit's nose,

the way it twitches, 

the way it goes.



Angus knows the rabbit's ears,

the way they listen,

the way they hear.



Scout knows the rabbit's toes,

the way they hop the highs,

the way they bounce the lows.



Angus & Scout know the rabbit's eyes,

they fear them coming,

because they're wise.
