Brunch in Harlem with L....tried all the classics (biscuits and gravy, grits, crab cakes etc) and chatted about education systems, then walked along to the Osh Kosh shop to stock up on children’s clothes in the sale.
Downtown afterwards to queue up to see John Luther Adams premiere http://johnlutheradams.net/in-the-name/ held in the cathedral rather than Central Park as planned because of the rain. Despite being unbearably hot in the cathedral, and packed with people, the music was lovely and beautifully arranged with the choirs all around the building then moving together.
Afterwards we took a bus further south and had a wander around Columbus Circle and the Lincoln Centre, getting soaked at one point. Headed home for takeout pizza and nonsense TV for a while ...another busy day!
