Beets

In the past week I've had a cauliflower, a cucumber, some broccoli and now a bag of lovely beetroot from my friend A's allotment. A is currently having work done in her kitchen which has put both her cooker and her freezer out of bounds. This has been to her friends' advantage as we've been sharing the bounty of her plot. And it has been bountiful indeed this summer.

Rain today. Proper, wetting rain. I'm debating the wisdom of a 90 minute kiltwalk practice this afternoon ...

I'll be roasting beetroot for dinner tonight.
