The Computers

Went to a free gig tonight to see a band I've followed for a while called The Computers.

This was set up as a gig for them to play their new album in full - I've seen them a lot, and this was a shock.

Gone were the screamed vocals and breakneck rock'n'roll hardcore, Black Flag meets Rocket From The Crypt style noise. Instead they now sound like a soul stax band doing Elvis Costello songs. As a transition it's pretty extreme. It didn't surprise me and didn't seem weird either. Gig was awesome.
