The Teenager announced last night that he had a game tonight. Some last minute arrangement.

Not enough time for me to arrange a prior commitment. He drives himself to games, but seems to like Superdad to come and approve of how well he played.

So, Wednesday night at Murrayfield Ice Arena instead of at home for a nice dinner & then feet up.

Turned out the Edinburgh Universities team had been due to play Hull in the universities championship, but Hull called off.

In stepped Mark's team - Edinburgh Knights. A more motley crew. Some in their 40s & 50s. One wearing glasses. A couple of middle age spreads. A handful of Slovaks - fast & skilful. Well, they're Slovaks. A big Canadian. More "muscular" than the Slovaks. Even a middle aged woman.

The students won 12-8, but Knights didn't let themselves down against a faster, more skilful team. Good entertainment.

Mark won man of the match for the 2nd game in a row, so he must have caught someone's eye.
