Bugga!

       A recreation of a silly mishap. You don't realize how much you use mirrors until they're not there. This happened on Tuesday when the trash has to be kerb-side by 07:00. I'm in the American habit of pulling in forwards into our parking place and when I backed out that morning I forgot to check for the wheely-bin. The rear of the car cleared it but unfortunately the lid hinge  aligned beautifully with the passenger side rear-view mirror. The only damage was broken glass; and I've ordered replacement glass . . . meanwhile . . . no rain today.
