Blue doors

Luke and Meriel left early this morning for their holiday to Vienna and Budapest. They flew to Vienna and then got a bus to Budapest so their journey was rather long. Steve (who used to live in Budapest) very kindly gave them a list of recommended things to do and sights to see in Budapest so they will have a busy few days there before moving on to Vienna. 

Adam and Jenni are having a fantastic time in Japan - unfortunately they were unable to climb Mount Fuji due to bad weather, but they are currently in Nara and so far it has been a highlight. 

Meanwhile back at home our lives are less exciting....today Gavin and I went back to the village where we used to live when we first moved to England and had a light lunch at a recommended cafe there - they do have great coffee and delicious light meals. It was good to see the positive changes in the village since we used to live there - it brought back memories of all those years ago, when we first moved there, and everything was unknown. What an adventure that was, moving to another country with no idea of where we should settle. Can you imagine that - we were much younger then and up for such adventures! I spotted these cottages as we were driving home again and thought they were very pretty.
