Whale watching

We went on a whale watching tour in Telegraph Cove today. About 10 minutes after we departed, the captain received a message there were killer whales spotted about 15-20 minutes away, so we went there. When we arrived at the spot it took a while but then we saw a killer whale. Within minutes we saw a couple of other ones and one passed our boat at a few metres distance.
We followed them for a while, but then we received news of a humpback whale nearby, so we went to look for it. It turned out there was more than one and although the boat had to keep its distance, we could clearly see them. Taking pictures was a challenge because they were too far away. I managed to take some pictures of the tail and their back (including the water spout).
I enjoyed being on the boat among all these sea creatures (we saw some purpoises too) in their own environment instead of some zoo or aquarium. Nature is just beautiful!

For this picture I took a picture of my camera screen with my cellphone, because I can't transfer the files from my camera.
