Life from city to village

A touch of rain

I look outside now and there are blue skies, but it has been threatening rain most of the day, and there has been some. I'm not complaining- its good for the garden.

This week has mainly been about negotiation, defining the aim of what needs to be done, then discussing with those who are concerned about what we can agree is feasible that meets that aim. I'm delighted to report progress from, "we couldn't possibly" on Monday to, "well if that's all it is..." on Friday. It never ceases to amaze me how often we jump to panic before we realise that actually, it's not that much of an issue to sort out what is needed. Myself included - I can sometimes react that way as well.

Of course, some issues are more complex and do require far more to sort out. But they are never intractable. Every mountain can be moved. It just takes longer to move some. But its still a case of planning where to move it too, the resources required and time needed.
