White water behind us

This is a view that always brings back lots of memories as well as always creating a feeling of expectation.

I have been traveling by ferry amongst the Scottish islands for much of my working life, starting with the period I spent in Uist in the late 1970s.

My usual routes may have changed over the years, as have the ferries, but I still love the sight of a white wake , blue skies and distant hills.

It inevitably recharges my batteries and makes me not only look forward to my destination but also think good things about where I have come from.
