Arid pasture

This afternoon I went for a walk from the village. There hasn't been any rain for ages as the dead grass in this field shows. There were cattle under the trees so the poor farmer must be having to provide a lot of supplementary food and water for them. There are showers forecast from the weekend and we certainly need them.
