Popup Greek Cafe

Framed by some lovely petunias from a Loughborough in Bloom hanging basket.

This food stall serving Greek food has started coming here every market day. Alas, I had no time today to sample its wares.

In on the bus at noon to buy fish and prawns and then back home on the return bus at 1 pm. I did have the opportunity to check whether the Centro Cafe Bar at the cinema complex is dog friendly, which it is. So Basil will be able to  join me there on future trips.

No sooner home than time to walk into Shepshed. First stop at Ryatt Optometry to ask the use of his consulting room for taking a photo of the rather magnificent old Natwest Bank opposite. It was originally the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire bank with wonderful alabaster work inside. Now a grade II listed building. See extra.

While there, I asked for an upgrade of my computer glasses. New lenses arrive next week.

And then into the bank itself which you can see is now a dental centre. My sensitive tooth proved to have a rather deep cavity which the dentist filled for me. So glad that's been done. And I didn't have to pay anything as it was billed under an existing course of treatment. Phew!

Bought a smashing Cornish sole which we shall enjoy for supper tonight.
