Ramblings from Zambia....

innocence....

in the face of a beautiful child!

Although I am still on leave I was called in to one of our ECD centres today to try and sort out a 'money' issue!  In fact, it was fine but due to the many challenges with the committee of this particular centre, we have decided to close it.  The end of term is tomorrow and of course I have to go and tell the teachers and parents so I am not looking forward to that.

I will really miss these teachers and children but maybe in the future we will be able to start up again!  All in all, not a good morning.

When I came home I called ZESCO (our electricity provider) as they were supposed to replace some cables attached to the house I am staying in, and now they are frayed really badly and a fire risk.  They came when I was out and told Blessings (who works in my yard) that they would fix it if they got some money...in fact they were quite abusive and left without doing anything!  So I called ZESCO and informed them of what happened...and 'they are looking into it'...so will probably have to wait for another month until they come again!

The joys of life in Zambia....
