Waiting in line to tax the cars

Today we had to tax both our cars, so the inevitable queue to go through the "safety check" (does the car have 4 wheels!) Husband in front of me. They were checking everyone's lights and indicators, but the guy never asked me to turn on either, just walked around the car and signed the bit of paper! This is the time of year that you find out how many speeding tickets/traffic violations you have incurred during the year and pay the fines (minimal), luckily neither of us had any this year (there was one on my car last year but never knew what it was for as it was all written in Arabic, just a BD5 fine (about US$14)! Oh well done for another year anyway.
