Wast Water

This morning mum took me to collect my prints from exhibit at Eskdale. We took the road past Bassenthwaite and then onto the coast road all the way down to Gosforth. Then I sneakily gave instructions to take the road to Wast Water to get a few photos of Wast Water and the surrounding fells. I believe this to be my first trip to the lake, I found it to be quite a mysterious place especially with all this gloomy cloud. I think I'll come back on a clearer day and head up Scafell Pike next spring when it isn't so cold and empty.
