Aurlandsfjorden, Norway
A desolate landscape
The narrowest of Norway's many fjords, at the foot of the Flamsbanen railway from Myrdal. The railway track descends 863 meters (2,831 ft) in 20 kms (12 miles).
This small fjord - small by Norwegian standards - is a tributary of the Sognefjord, the largest and deepest fjord in Norway.
