Patience

Surprise presentation at football training tonight - my ‘5 year’ award. Amazingly, this year will be my sixth season coaching kids football. There are plenty of times when I wonder why I do it - I’m not known for my patience, and there are games where you wonder if they’ve remembered anything at all from the last 100 training sessions! But they’re a good bunch of kids, and seeing them improve is actually very rewarding.

First game of the new season on Sunday. Big boy football now. Referees, red cards, fines and suspensions. Points, league tables, promotion, relegation.
