Brûlé

The heat has scorched the earth and bleached the colour from the fields.  But, thankfully, the temperatures were lower today, around 28 degrees.  It did't actually feel cool, but it was a relief from the big heat.  We did some gardening.  In the afternoon, C and L, the people who are buying our house, called by with some friends.  We ate fish and chips with Matt, Val and kids, at the big table in the garden.
