On the Edge

This was taken during a quick visit to the garden this morning before an impromptu trip to Florida to help my son with some unfinished business. I have done this trip so many times, I could pack and travel in my sleep.  I hope this is the last time for a while.

If I thought it was hot at home, it pales compared to the temperatures and sun's intensity here. 

So, here is an emergency hoverfly (aka E.H.)  With such a dearth of insects and butterflies, I was grateful to find a few of these before I wilted.  What will I ever do in December!
