Water Lily

The Arboretum's lily pond is really fantastic by August. I stopped by early and a number of water lilies were already in bloom. (If you want to see all of the colors of lilies open, however, you will want to come by around mid-day, not morning.) I admired the delicate pastel shades on this one, as well as the shapes of the green lily pads arranged, quite artistically (but not by me), all around it.
