YES M'LUD

This is a statue to William Duncombe, the Second Baron Feversham, who was born on the 14 January 1798 and died on the 11 February 1867. It lies in the heart of the marketplace in Helmsley.

Baron Feversham was returned to Parliament as one of four representatives for Yorkshire in 1826. He was later Member of Parliament for the North Riding of Yorkshire between 1832 and 1841. He was also President of the Royal Agricultural Society in 1864.
