Hang On, Baby!

While watching the squirrels dig into the pumpkin today I noticed a nuthatch in the dogwood tree.  

I had not seen a nuthatch around here until a few days ago and wanted to see if I could get a photo of it.  I put out some walnuts to see if he/she would eat them and it did.  I got one photo of him/her taking the walnut but I was too far away and the photo was not great.

So, I put out more walnuts (stuck to the tree limb with peanut butter) and waited.  It took awhile but the nuthatch finally took the bait.  Unfortunately, the one shot I took of that did not come either.

And then along came this cute squirrel.  She must have smelled out the peanut butter as I know they love it!  I was watching her eat the walnuts and then start licking up the peanut butter when she slipped around the limb where she held on tight.  But kept on licking until there was no trace of any peanut butter left!!

My apologies to you all again for the lack of comments.  The deadline for my big test is coming up and studying has been my priority ~ sorry!  I may be taking a short blip break so that I can concentrate on my studies.  I absolutely love blipfoto, but it can sure suck up the time!
