Botany Bay

The hot weather broke today but not before we had another day on the North Kent Coast. Travelled to Botany Bay and in the water by 9.45am followed by breakfast.

After drying ourselves out we walked to Broadstairs and back, repeating a recent walk. My it was warm even with a NE breeze in our faces.

At Broadstairs we ate a bauguette and a bag of crisps overlooking Viking Bay then repaired to a beachfront cafe for coffee and scones. As we were sitting enjoying the view the clouds were beginning to roll in from the east so we beat a retreat back to the car arriving there just as the rain started.

Back home the storms had not arrived but they soon did, lots of action but not much rain, although as I write this at 11.30pm it is raining now
