bromance

Took a little walk out with these boys and loved this protective moment as we waited to cross the road.

The health visitor came first thing (should be a law against such early visits) and weighed Isaac. He’s gained one whole pound which explains some of my exhaustion. It’s nice to know he’s thriving despite a tongue tie.

Tonight I was in charge of all three at bedtime as Antony was out at a charity trustee meeting. I suddenly felt like I wasn’t sufficiently grown up to be in charge of so many children. What does one do in those moments?! There are no alternative more grown-up grown ups.

We actually had a very lovely bedtime in the end (although Eve had a meltdown early doors because I left Isaac to cry for a few minutes while I put fresh sheets on her bed - I thought this was a good decision but she said the baby crying at her made her feel like she wasn’t loved as much as everyone else, I failed to hide my irritation in that moment but we had a presumably much needed chat about there always being plenty of love to go around).
