Wiggins Hill Bridge

Stressful day today as we had arranged for the Alzheimer's Society Dementia Adviser to meet my father-in-law. It went well, with a few things for us to follow up on. My favourite bit was when she asked him if there was anything else he needed help with and he asked her if she could fix his outside tap, preferably replacing it with an automatic one so he didn't have to keep remembering to turn it off!

We had a nice lunch afterwards in a pub by the canal, near this bridge. I had a steak and Guinness pie, though strictly speaking it was a stew with a top on and would not have met my son-in-law's strict definition of what a pie should be.

My first image (see extra) was much nicer composition wise as it had a duck swimming towards us, but it was rather overexposed as somehow the ISO set itself at 25600. Might have been OK as an experimental photography radical exposure submission, and I actually quite like it. Still have to get to grips with this new camera.
