Calne (Tuesday 7th August 2018)
Yesterday I took a load of photographs around Calne without a card in the camera. I was quite pleased with some of what I thought I'd taken until I discovered they didn't exist, so today I did a longer walk, beginning at Berhill's Farm, down to the spot known locally as Keevil's Weir, and then between the river and the canal in Castlefields Park and into Calne, retracing the steps of the day before and adding more.
The first Extra shows some rosebay willowherb at Keevil's Weir growing by the River Marden, and the second shows some of the twenty-two ducks and ducklings grazing on the old Wilts and Berks.
For my blip, because it is Tuesday, I chose this rather interesting small bee on the teasels next to the river. With thanks to osuzanna for Tiny Tuesday and to Miranda1008 for Wildflower Week.

Lesley Gore - You Don't Own Me (1963)
Lesley Gore was 16 when she recorded this proto-feminist anthem (written by two men), only a year or so after her considerably less mature hit singles It's My Party and its sequel Judy's Turn To Cry. It was played on Radcliffe and Maconie on this day.
