Another little blue

I have never seen so many holly blue butterflies in our garden before. It must really be a good year for them. We haven’t any holly trees, but they seem to like the ivy.
Still no sign of a peacock butterfly. In fact there were no butterflies on the butterfly bush at all.

A busy morning cutting our leylandii hedge, and dead heading the pink climbing rose, which is at the side of the door. Also tying in the other one which grows over the kitchen window.
Extra photo of our good neighbour brushing the hedge trimmings off the top of his summer house, and he said he hadn’t a head for heights!
After a soak in the bath and hair wash , I feel refreshed for our wine club committee this evening.
Our chairman is moving house, and so is having to resign. I don’t think anyone has come forward to take over.
( it certainly won’t be me!)
