Baling straw...

The field opposite us was cut yesterday and they were out baling up the straw this morning...

Almost exactly one year ago I photographed this same combination bailing the same field. Tom the owner driver of this very well used tractor and baler stopped and gave me a bit of a ride around in the tractor (childhood dream realised). Last year I sent him the photo file and he had it made up into a canvas print...

This JCB Fastrac is 21 years old and still going strong... the baler looks quite old too.

The extra is a CASE IH Puma 240 CVX with a specialist bale pickup trailer. Unfortunately I wasn't in a good position for a photograph of it working and despite waiting for a while it didn't come back and I had to go...
