Past times

Hubby and I had to go to the main post office in the downtown area of PE today...our local post office closed without us being notified...merely a message on the door saying we should collect post at the main branch.
After spending much time trying to find the place I, together with other cars, parked illegally (no parking available} while hubby went in  to get our post, and enquire about what was happening,
Amazingly, he was ushered into an office, made to feel welcome, and was told that a new post box would be made available at another post office near to us..with three months free rental
While waiting for him I took a couple of photos of the surroundings....a once beautiful area is now becoming derelict...buildings standing empty, vagrants moving in....sad times.
The good news is that we have had lovely rain. The bad news, I hear, is that it hasn't fallen in the catchment areas. The drought carries on.
