Greyfriars Church

Greyfriars Church is part of the Marischal College building. The church occupies one end of the building complex. Unfortunately when the rest of the Marischal College was renovated and cleaned up, this church (which belongs to Church of Scotland) was left untouched. It looks slightly incongruous as the rest of the granite building is clean,  but this part of the building this is a dirty dark grey.

The Church is unoccupied since 2011, it was due to be converted into a bar and restaurant, but the downturn in the economy may be the reason nothing appears to be happening.

I had read that the road in front of Marischal College has been reopened, but I see there are still substantial parts of the area cordoned off, so work is not yet complete.

I went to M&S at Union Square for some groceries as my usual shop is difficult to access due to roadworks.
