Race to the top

Took the boys to a local playground this morning.  They were delighted to get out and let off some steam and played really nicely.  We spent ages pretending to be in a house, then the eldest decided that we should shelter under the slide and he was driving a train.  He's very much getting into role-playing which is great fun. 

So hot today, we did all we could to stay out of the sun.  The youngest checked that his toy tractor was still outside from time to time, but we played inside for the rest of the day.  We planned to go out for a walk with our village friends, but the eldest didn't want to be outside and in fact, all decided it was best to keep inside, so had juice and cake with our friends instead.
