Elf 'n' Safety Fail

Moaning about "health and safety gone mad" is something of a staple complaint amongst certain people in the UK but they should count themselves lucky that we have laws governing such things.

Here in China there is a total lack of awareness of health and safety for workers. Take the guy on top of this building for example. The building is getting a new coat of paint and the workers are not provided with hard hats or safety harnesses. One wrong foot and he's falling five stories straight on to stone steps!

Let's hope that if in 2022 we ever look back at this Blip project such practices will have been banned by then and workers will have the health and safety protection that their colleagues in the west enjoy.
