Union Station Washington DC
This is a merged blip of two horizontal views--showing just a portion of the huge railroad station in our nation's capitol. It has been extensively renovated, taking its current form in 1988 (if I'm reading the Wiki article correctly). I find it quite marvelous.
We took the MARC train to the Baltimore airport (BWI), and then waited nearly an extra two hours for our delayed flight back to Hartford (BDL); Northampton is forty minutes north.
Otherwise today's main event was a very moving program on the folk singer Woodie Guthrie's life, on our public channel (PBS)--virtually the only one we watch, other than sports.
