Spaghetti harvest

Reminded me of that famous Panorama April Fool’s Day piece. Actually sisal bailer twine that got soaked in a recent storm and was starting to rot.

Sisal, from a species of Agave, originally from Mexico, was grown massively in Kenya and what was then Taynginika under Brit colonial rule - a strategic commodity for agriculture and defence. Long since replaced by Polypropylene bailer twine. Although with advent of huge bales much less twine now required.
