The world just went yellow
On grey, overcast days in Dublin sometimes only photo editing software can bring the sun out. I like my edited shots to become eyecatching, bold, more colourful than usual, though normally I don't do much more than just mess with the exposure, contrast and saturation a bit. But just that can do a lot - after all, a photo is just a translation of light into recognisable shapes. And I've been in the business of translation long enough to know that one small misinterpretation in the process can redirect you past a few minor turnoffs to the opposite of what you began with. Something like turning a grey cloudy blanket into an explosion of yellow that won't let go of your retinas.
