Forge

This afternoon we visited one of my favourite places in Sussex - Michelham Priory.

I always enjoy seeing the rope-making museum and the forge, but today was even better because a blacksmith was working there all afternoon. I could have watched for hours.

The thought crossed my mind that although I'll now never be a blacksmith, at some stage in my life, that possibility was open to me and I never knew...
