A beach afternoon

It was so hot at home in the garden this morning, we decided to head down to the beach for the afternoon. We decided on Cromer as Daniel has been away this weekend, and his train was due in at 3.30. In fact he has just joined us for the last of the afternoon sun. It has been hot, but really quite windy. Jon and I have stayed under the umbrella, and Henry remained well inside the beach tent, pretty much fully clothed. Mollie was the only one to properly sunbathe. We were joined by Josh for an hour who wandered down, as he lives only 10 minutes walk from the sea.

It has been fun to people watch. Most we decided are on holiday. All ages, some just with a towel and a book, others with everything (chairs, tent, parasol, food, towels...that's us!)

It has been relaxing, and something we all needed to end a busy weekend. I'm just wondering when we should head back. There is a big pile of ironing waiting for me. I think it can wait. At least another hour..
