Sad news
Today we heard that Tricia's mother has died in the early hours of the morning. At 95 it was not a total surprise but out of the blue none-the-less.
The morning was then taken up with various phone calls before heading off to Nimes with DSB and his wife for their flight. Back via a half decent lunch at La Roque-sur-Ceze.
The butterfly in the image is one of those pesky fritillaries. It has cheered me up significantly that I decided to send a couple of images of this particular one to an expert who kindly came back very promptly with a well-argued case for 70% Provencal 30% Heath Fritillary identification. Another photo was sent it changed the odds to 30% Provencal 70% Heath Fritillary. Clearly it is not just me struggling with them!
