morning watering hole

Now that the overnight temps routinely drop below freezing, more birds are stopping by our heated bird bath for their morning drink. Our afternoon temps still get well above freezing so there are plenty of thawed out puddles for the birds by then. So I enjoy the rush on the hot bath in the morning.
At least now I can find something to be grateful about the return of cold weather!
