I don't know why I chose this as today's blip, it has nothing artistically 'correct' about it.

However, optically there seems to be something going on here. If you look at the picture casually, the tree trunk seems to be floating over the background or rushing towards you. Not a very pleasant effect, if you look at it too long.

The shot is almost in its original form, I merely enhanced the details some 20 percent.

Or maybe there is a reason for such a warped image: it's mentally fitting because I had three long meetings at work in the morning, and I've still got the evening shift to go to.
