Soccer Saturday

I started the day with my first ever Parkrun - needless to say I walked it! Was glad to have that out of the way early as it then got really warm.

We also popped out to the Old Well for a nice cuppa and cake. They actually had fruitcake which meant I got to have a treat too. Usually I don’t bother and just watch Ian and Leo indulge as I am not really a fan of any other type of cake.

Then it was time for the first footie match of the season which went really well with the Grecians winning 3-1. The pitch and the new stand are looking marvellous (extra). Am looking forward to moving to the swish new stand when it is finished.

I couldn’t persuade Leo to join in the Summer Reading Challenge this year but Ian and I are doing our own challenge instead. I am on track with one book down, one week into the hols. Not exactly a cheery read as it was all about the exploits of a sociopath - but it did have an unexpected twist at the end.
