A Hopeful Kingfisher.

The day deteriorated rapidly today and with it my inclination to do anything. but read.

I had gone out early-ish while still nice hoping a walk would energise me and this distant kingfisher was the only photograph taken. It was way out in the middle of the mudflat sitting on its own little mountain. I dont know what it expected to spot so close to the ground. The pic was only taken so I could confirm what I was seeing was a kingfisher when enlarged on the screen.

The rest of the day I read and read, starting and completing a whole book. It was the perfect book for today - The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion.  I can really recommend it.
