It’s a terrible name and I nearly swerved them as a result. But, there was time to kill and I’m on a mission to see as much new stuff as I can. They were just outstanding in the Casbah this evening. Racy, punchy, Dead Kennedy’s style raunch. Absolutely superb and a gift to shoot as well.

There were a few standouts today, though. Bristol’s Kiss Me, Killer - https://m.facebook.com/kissmekillerband/ - and German three piece Berlin Blackouts - https://m.facebook.com/Berlinblackouts/ take the main prizes.

Or they did before Peter Hook - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2284630961284973091 - came along and stole the show. With a Joy Division packed set (I think there was only one New Order tune) he absolutely commanded the Ballroom and showed why the Joy Division material is just as good now as it was then. Closing the set with Love Will Tear Us Apart, it was a masterclass and an hour of pure genius.
